Stand with Military Women
From Planned Parenthood:
Women who choose to serve in the armed forces deserve the same rights as any other woman — including the right to make the most personal, most private medical decisions. But even though as many as 19,000 military women are sexually assaulted each year, they are denied insurance coverage for abortion even in cases of rape and incest.
If an active-duty soldier becomes pregnant as a result of rape, she is told, "You're on your own." That's unfair and unacceptable — and we have a chance to change it. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) has fought to pass an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that would provide military women insurance coverage for abortion when a pregnancy results from rape or incest.
Stand with service women and against this unfair law. Tell your members of Congress to protect the Shaheen amendment in the final NDAA.
