I checked my e-mails today to see this one sitting there from a fellow pro-choice Marylander:
"CBS generally does not air advocacy-oriented or political commercials during the Super Bowl. This year, however, they plan to air a pro-life commercial submitted by Focus on the Family, a right wing group.
Here is a video link from DemocracyNow with Planned Parenthood's reaction to CBS' decision.

Those who are interested should contact CBS and voice your opinions!"
I'm not personally crazy about democrazynow (haha, get it?), but I do think it's important that we let CBS know that this is unacceptable.
(Hopefully that link works for everyone).

Date: 2010-02-06 02:35 am (UTC)I agree with CBS' policy that politics and advocacy-oriented stuff shouldn't have a place in the Superbowl...especially when you have children watching since children don't fully understand those kinds of things.
However, if CBS is going to go agains their policy, I think it's fair if they show a pro-choice AD too.
Btw, welcome to the community :)
